Lifestlye Newborn | Ballisty Family

My job involves so much more than simply taking a few photos. I am deeply invested in my work to create stunning, real-time memories for families. I know that we all want to preserve those special life milestones such as engagements, weddings, pregnancies, births, and beyond. Those moments deserve to be captured in better light than spontaneous iPhone snapshots, and I know families who invest in photography with me are expecting photos that they can display and cherish forever—photos they feel proud of showing off.

The beauty of my work is that I often get to watch returning clients experience all of these wonderful stages from my side of the lens. Watching them grow and change over the years brings me so much joy!

About this sweet session

For this special lifestyle newborn shoot, I got to experience another beautiful session with the Ballisty family (you may remember their maternity/family session post just a couple months back)! Their third bundle of joy just arrived, and she is the second newborn I have been honored to document for them in their home. Needless to say, I love this family so much!

The boys are so sweet, and I already knew they would be the best big brothers to their sweet baby sister. They were so gentle with her and eager to welcome her into their fun world. The kids also had their cousin in town, so he made a few shots welcoming his baby cousin, too. The three boys reading The Cat in the Hat together were too cute! And I think baby Cora liked hearing the sound of their voices. Amazingly, she stayed awake throughout most of the session. She didn’t want to miss a beat of all the action going on around her. I love lifestyle newborn sessions. They’re such a fun, natural way to get a glimpse into life with a family’s newest member and see how much they all love her—and each other!
