This session was so unique and fun! I loved getting to meet and photograph this stunning couple. Their positive energy and beautiful love for life and each other was so incredibly uplifting and such a joy to be around.
Jennifer and Svend’s Asheville Elopement
Jennifer and Svend had come from Illinois to Asheville to elope. Both never being married before, they wanted their marriage to be private but memorable. On Wednesday, May 31, at 8:30, they were to be married at the courthouse. However, surprisingly, the judge never showed up. They were then told that they had to go over to the Detention Facility (aka the jail) to get married in the magistrate office. Now, this could’ve caused a ton of havoc for some couples planning to marry at the courthouse. But not Jennifer and Svend! They were so happily in love; it didn’t really matter to them where they got married.
Happily in Love
They were so cool and rolled with this unexpected news. They even cracked a few jokes about the prisoner being the witness, and this experience ended up being such a blast with these two lovely spirits. After they were married, we had a fun, little session with just the two of them in the gorgeous Botanical Gardens. The weather and lighting were just as beautiful and lovely as this amazing couple and their sweet love for one another.
It was truly such an honor and blessing getting to photograph Jennifer and Svend’s marriage! They are even thinking about moving to North Carolina, possibly Asheville. I wish them all the happiness and love in the world as they begin their adventure of life together, and I can’t wait to see what their shining future has in store for them.
What strength and beauty these two have. Being their Asheville Elopement Destination Photographer was such a wonderful treat!
