Emily and Julian have been together for three beautiful years.  They were set up by Emily’s best friend and maid of honor, Madison.  Madison’s boyfriend was in a band with Julian and thought the two would make a great match. It’s obvious he was right! These two are absolutely adorable together. They love to do things together, especially going to concerts, practicing yoga, reading, cooking and anything to do with the beach or ocean.

Julian and Emily’s Proposal

Julian surprised Emily with a proposal at their favorite restaurant in Baltimore, Maryland, the place they call home.  They chose Asheville, North Carolina for the wedding destination because Julian’s mom is lives in Hot Springs, so he knew of the gorgeous Mountain Magnolia Inn.  They are also friends with Karen Nagle, the venue owner, so it just made sense. Who could pass up an opportunity to swap vows with a view as gorgeous as this!

The Mountain Magnolia Inn

The Mountain Magnolia Inn is a breathtaking wedding venue. That grand tree they got married under is just magical! The strength and solidity of this majestic oak was a perfect backdrop for the start of Julian and Emily’s life together.

I love that they planned their wedding around the eclipse, which they viewed from a boat on the lake the Monday after their wedding. How cool!? What a fun memory they will always be able to associate with their big day.

This couple and their friends and family were incredibly sweet.  Everyone was so excited for the newlyweds.  It was fun to see all of the kids having a blast at the reception, as you will see when you scroll down, they were having as much fun as the adults!

It was a wonderful evening spent celebrating an even more wonderful couple! I will forever cherish the opportunity to capture all of the special little details and thoughtful touches as their Asheville, NC wedding photographer.
