I met Whitney & Jeff, and their cute little French Bulldog, Fonzi, for their North Carolina Arboretum engagement session! I love dogs, and am always excited at the opportunity to include them in a session. My parents have 2 French Bulldogs, and so I was extra excited about Fonzi. He’s a cutie, and so easy to photograph!
Here is a little about this gorgeous couple and their doggie, written by Whitney: “Our Frenchie is named Fonzi and he is 2 years old. His birthday is November 28th, and we got him right when he turned 8 weeks. He was my birthday present. Jeff thought I could use a companion after moving to Asheville and not knowing anyone. He is my best friend! He enjoys catching wild turkeys in our backyard and bringing us foreign objects through his dog door. He enjoys going to local breweries and going to playcare. He loves eating bananas and blueberries, too! Check him out on instagram at fonzi_the_frenchie.
Jeff and I met each other almost ten years ago while both working at a local bar in our native state, Nebraska. We rekindled through facebook and started dating (distant relationship) shortly after. Jeff moved to Arizona, and I was going back and forth for a year until I moved down in 2012. In 2014, we resided to Asheville, after his job promotion.
Meghan Rolfe did such a great job using natural lighting and incorporating the Arboretums beautiful landscape. It was exactly the kind of shoot we were looking for; quiet, peaceful, and intimate. Meghan never rushed and made us feel comfortable. I really wanted to incorporate Asheville’s amazing surroundings and she did just that.
We are set to wed in Vegas at the MGM on Sept 16, 2017 on their signature patio, followed by a reception at Jimmy Buffet’s Margarittaville . We invited one hundred of our closest friends and family. It will be a weekend to remember for sure!”
I sure wish I was going to be the destination wedding photographer for Whitney & Jeff’s Vegas wedding! I asked them about it and they booked an all-inclusive package so I am out of the running 🙁 . Next week, I will post images from a wedding I got to photograph in Palos Verdes, California! It was held at Wayfarers Chapel and Point Vincente Interpretive Center. It was such a n amazing opportunity to be a destination wedding photographer!
