Working as a photographer allows me to see people at their happiest moments. Whether it be welcoming a newborn home, saying “I do” at a wedding, or proposing to the love of your life, I am blessed to document these life changing moments for so many amazing clients. This session in particular was such a wonderful moment for me, because not only was I able to witness something beautiful, but I was able to document pure and effortless joy. This is Julie and Chad, two folks that recently got engaged.

A Sweet Surprise

When Chad contacted me, I was thrilled to be a part of such a sweet surprise! Chad planned to propose to his girlfriend on their Easter weekend trip to the Omni Grove Park Inn. They had a cocktail and walked over to look out to the mountain views, and view of Asheville. The looked at the beautiful scenery for a while, just chit chatting and taking in the amazing view. Shortly after, Chad dropped to one knee and proposed. It was an epic moment that immediately had Julie grinning from ear to ear. She had no idea it was coming, and she was so happy! Chad was shaking with nervousness and was so relieved and happy she said yes, and now he could relax.

I love helping guys plan their proposals and capturing this special moment for them! After the proposal, Julie and Chad were filled with happiness and love for each other. We took some photos of them two in the moment. It was precious to see them so happy. The ring was to die for – so big and sparkly! I loved working with this amazing couple, and wish them the very best on this new adventure in their lives!
