What a sweet boy Avett is! This little one is fairly new to his family, and he is the apple of their eye. Let’s face it, babies change our lives for the better, and there is nothing a parent wants more than to share and experience many amazing moments with their little ones. This family wanted Avett to meet a very special person, and I am so honored that they chose me to document such a sweet moment for them as their Asheville Family and Milestone Photographer!

A Sweet Introduction

Avett lives in Colorado, and he rode cross country with his mom & dad to meet his great -grandmother that lives in Asheville. This is the kind of session that really makes me love my work. What a special time to capture of these two meeting each other! The day spent with Avett and his family definitely pulled on my heart strings a little bit. I love capturing connections between loved ones, and this was so fulfilling. When Avett was introduced to his great grandmother for the first time, it was as if time stood still. This moment was precious, as Avett gazed up while she smiled so sweetly at her little grandson. What a blessing it is to have each other in their lives!
One of my favorite moments were when the two of them held hands, old and new.

I did some portraits of “Grand-Mommy” as her grandson and wife called her. She likes to sit in her chair and read the bible, and I captured some of that in her home. She is such a sweet lady, and was so welcoming of me. I also took some photos of mom and dad with Avett, and what a beautiful family they are! All smiles and giggles, these three are so beautiful together! My day with these people was so fun, relaxing, and sweet. I had a wonderful time in Grand-Mommy’s home, and I know that Avett will spend many more countless memories there!

Sessions like this are special reminders of just how much I adore my job as a Asheville Family and Milestone Photographer! What an amazing time we had.
