Mountaintop Proposal | Daniel & Mackenzie

How do you incorporate all of your closest friends and family into an epic mountaintop proposal? You plan a fun group vacation! Daniel and their friends already had a weekend in the Asheville area planned, and he knew that he wanted to use the opportunity propose to Mackenzie. They all planned a group hike to Max Patch one day in order to see the views, and Daniel knew this is where he wanted to propose! We got so lucky with the most beautiful day imaginable, so she didn’t even question why they were doing a group hike that day. Who wouldn’t want to be out enjoying the views and warm sunshine atop the Blue Ridge Mountains?

When they reached the Max Patch area, they all took turns taking photos. Daniel walked Mackenzie over to the edge of the mountain for a stunning photo op. Just as they were about to pose for the photo, he got down on one knee and surprised her with a ring! A look of shock and elation immediately washed over her face, followed by a huge embrace. I just loveproposals and capturing them in the moment like this!

He had planning this whole thing out ahead of time and even invited both sets of parents along for the proposal. They were hiding and snuck up to congratulate them after he popped the question! Mackenzie was blown away and couldn’t stop laughing.

It was a joy to capture this moment for them and to be a part of this special time in their life. I couldn’t be more excited for this lovely couple. Congratulations, Daniel and Mackenzie!
