Oh my goodness guys, I absolutely LOVE capturing surprise proposals. What on earth could be sweeter than seeing the ultimate shock, surprise and delight on an unsuspecting lovely lady’s face as she says, “yes!” to the biggest question of her life. Seriously, my heart beats for sessions just like this one
Two Hearts, One Love
Tico and Rachel planned to spend the day at Biltmore together. They were vacationing in Asheville, and decided that this would be the perfect location to take in the beauty that our beautiful town has to offer. (I have to agree!!). However, little did Rachel know, Tico brought along a (not so) little surprise with him. Do you have goosebumps yet?!
As they approached the Biltmore house, he paused for a moment to “take in the beauty of the grounds”…Suddenly, down on one knee he goes, and my heart stops beating (as it always does during sessions like this) for a quick split second. One glance at Rachel though and immediately it was clear what her answer would be.
Tears were streaming, and hearts were pounding. I’m not sure that Tico could have possibly smiled bigger without doing permanent damage, but somehow, he managed! I can only imagine the elation and joy that blossomed in his heart the moment Rachel reached out to him. Smiling, “YES!” was clearly written all over her face.
I am beyond honored as an Asheville Engagement Photographer to have been a part of this precious proposal. This couple is truly the definition of love. Congratulations to Rachel and Tico. If this first session is any indicator, I have no doubt in my mind that it will be a truly stunning affair.
