Wow! This is about as romantic as it gets! There’s just something about the way the sun is positioned this time of year that provides a perfect “pre-fall glow” as I’m officially calling it. For Ashley and Dominick’s engagement session, they began the shoot at the trailhead of Craggy Pinnacle. This iconic Asheville hike offers a little bit of everything in the way of backdrops: intimate forest shots, fields of wildflowers, and mesmerizing mountaintop views. With this hike, you really can have it all. A huge shout out to Amy, my incredibly talented associate photographer, who captured these breathtaking shots.
This engagement session in the Blue Ridge Mountains fits Ashley and Dominick’s personality perfectly. They love to travel the world and take off on spontaneous adventures together. Dominick even proposed in Paris right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Earlier, I said it doesn’t get any more romantic than this shoot, but that proposal must have come close! Many couples dream of such an unforgettable proposal.
That being said, these two are not afraid to stray from tradition – and neither are we! We’re so glad they chose this hike for their engagement session. It was a fun experience, and it produced some pretty stunning images. They also decided to elope with us in just a couple months through Elope Outdoors at The Cabin Ridge! We can’t wait.
Other than traveling, Ashley and Dominick love trying out new gym classes and bike riding with their sweet pup, Milo. Basically, they just love doing life together. And of course, all that adventuring needs to be fueled by some amazing dessert. Eating and adventuring? These two are my kind of couple!
