There is something so unique about winter weddings. The crisp air…the blankets of snow on the ground, and all the holidays surrounding the season with love and family. Celebrating the love and commitment between two people brings warmth and joy to all those who are blessed to witness the wonderful event. Being these two soul’s Asheville Fine Art Wedding Photographer was such an incredible honor!
I was so excited to photograph the beautiful winter wedding of Courtney and Gray in February of 2017. This sweet couple lives in Charlotte, but planned an intimate destination wedding at Homewood in Asheville. You would never know they spent only a few weeks putting together their perfect event. Everything came together beautifully, and the weather couldn’t have been better. Snow fell just a couple weeks prior, and two weeks after, but the day of their wedding was warm and sunny. Courtney was a glowing bride and Gray a doting groom.
About this Wedding
Their first look took place just down the staircase across from their Homewood venue. I was so excited that we were able to capture beautiful moments between the two of them at the Botanical Gardens at Asheville. Their friends Flora did a beautiful job with all the flower arrangements, and Luella’s BBQ catered in a wonderful meal for the guests. Courtney had her best friend accompany her as her maid of honor. While Gray had his father by his side as best man. A warm fire illuminated the background at the ceremony of the bride and groom.
Courtney and Gray truly brought warmth and light with their love in the middle of winter, as they were joined as husband and wife.
