Rhea and Daniel were married on April 1st, with a ceremony at the Glen Cannon Golf Course waterfall and a reception at the Brevard Lumberyard.
On the day of the wedding, Rhea and Daniel rented out cabins at Adventure Village, where they got ready separately. I was especially excited to spend time with Rhea and her girls as they were getting ready because I grew up with one of the bridesmaids, and we’d known each other since the second grade! It’s always so fun to photograph people that I know and to find those personal connections.
From there, it was off to the golf course, where Rhea and Daniel held a small, intimate ceremony with only 25 people in attendance. My favorite image of the whole day was when I was able to capture the look on Daniel’s face when Rhea walked to him during the ceremony—it was so genuine and pure in the moment.
After the ceremony, I grabbed some family pictures and then took Rhea and Daniel across the golf course for a session with just the two of them. Then, we headed down to the lumberyard for the reception—they had chosen that particular venue because the owner knows them and recommended it to them.
During the reception, it was obvious that Rhea and her girls were incredibly close. She danced with her mom, and the close-knit group clearly loved spending time together. As the last song of the night, the women band sang an incredible version of “At Last” before the send-off, and I loved it!
Daniel & Rhea, thank you for letting me be part of your beautiful celebration. I wish you both nothing but happiness together.
