Intimate Wedding Off the Blue Ridge Parkway | Maria + Joshua

If you’re wanting a little bit of everything – the BEST panoramic mountaintop views, lush trails lined with climbing vines, and fields of green – this is our absolute favorite location. The Blue Ridge Parkway never disappoints. It’s open and free, so you can decide on the perfect backdrop depending on your whimsy.

Maria and Joshua wanted to keep things simple, sweet and intimate. Together, they have such an endearing personality and were a ton of fun to adventure with. Capturing these special moments for them was truly a pleasure! They lucked out big time with the weather! It was overcast with a few perfect rays of sun streaming through where the clouds parted. The glorious sky lent itself to beautiful lighting – and this was at 3:00 in the afternoon! It could have been raining or super bright and sunny, so Amy, the photographer, was quite pleased. You don’t get perfect lighting like this every day.

Maria’s dress was absolutely gorgeous – simple, yet incredibly elegant. It fit her style and personality perfectly and went with their mountainside elopement vibe. It even had a slit that was equally alluring and functional (it’s hard to hike in a tight gown). When they found their spot at Mt. Pisgah Inn, they never took their eyes off of each other. Heartwarming wedding tales like this are what we live for.
