Mountaintop Asheville Engagement Photographer

Frank & Deanna

Frank and Deanna came down from New York for a romantic getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains. While Deanna was just excited to enjoy some fresh air together, he had other plans in mind. Frank wanted to surprise Deanna by proposing during an evening hike through the Craggy Gardens. Meanwhile, the talented Amy would be there undercover and ready to capture this moment for them!

Their moment was beautiful! The timing was just right and the lighting was perfect. They found a green clearing with the mountains rolling across the backdrop. This was the spot! He got down on one knee, and she wondered if he was just tying his shoe until she noticed the box in his hand. He proclaimed his love to her, and she listened with complete surprise and adoration on her face. She concluded his words with a heartfelt, “Yes!” We live for moments like these! Such a sweet proposal. Frank even organized a post-proposal party back home for a special celebration of their engagement. He is so sweet and thoughtful!

Their moment didn’t end there. They paused to take it all in as they shared a few hugs and kisses and enjoyed the scenery together, not wanting the evening to end. They found an intimate grove of trees for a few more portraits, and then relaxed under the setting sun! The sky looked pretty spectacular, and I love the contrasting portraits that Amy was able to get.

Congratulations, Frank and Deanna!

We love capturing proposals for couples, especially in our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. I know we’re a little biased, but we really believe it’s the most romantic place on earth! We can’t imagine capturing amazing moments for couples anywhere else!
