Family is the one constant in life you can always rely on. Seasons will come and go, as well as friends. Family is forever. As an Outdoor Surprise Engagement Photographer I love hearing the stories of how people get engaged. It’s always fun to see faces light up as they recount every little moment leading up to that one huge milestone in their lives together. When I asked Irena and Scott how they got engaged, their excitement did not disappoint.
A Sweet Love Story
To understand their story you would have to know it’s origin. They first met in middle school where he asked her out, and she promptly turned him down because he was far too shy. Fast forward 11 years later after college when Scott moved back to their hometown, he finally got that date. He planned their proposal so that her best friend (who just so happens to be her sister) would be present. She is incredibly close with her sister, her brother in law and their children so Scott knew that it would be important to have them there. How thoughtful! They went on a hike to Skinny Dip Falls and he took her away down a side path. Down on one knee, he popped the question and she quickly answered with a resounding yes.
Afterwards he had a huge group of family and friends waiting at Sierra Nevada to surprise her and help them celebrate their upcoming excitement. What a beautiful story these two already have! I have no doubt in my mind that their future will be filled with plenty of more stories just like this one. Thank you both for allowing Amy and I to be a part of your journey together!
